Health Care

The provision of health care is as regulated as it ever has been. Federal and state agencies are investigating health care providers and bringing administrative actions at an unprecedented rate. GETC’s lawyers represent hospitals, clinics, physician groups, physicians, and other health care providers on a regular basis in disputes with state and federal agencies, including state boards, TennCare, Medicare, private insurers, and various state and federal licensing bodies. GETC’s lawyers also assist health care clients with operational matters, including contract reviews, general advice, employment matters, and other day-to-day operations. GETC’s lawyers have also represented health care providers in matters with federal and state law enforcement agencies, including False Claims Act cases, with potential serious criminal and civil implications. This requires knowledge of how the health care system works from the provider perspective and knowledge of the intricacies of the state and federal bureaucracy. It also requires attention to detail and willingness to work with the client to reach the most cost-effective and best solution available.
